Michael Cox has taught at the university level for more than thirty years and is currently Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's School of Church Music in Fort Worth, Texas.
Cox has more than 160 published works and has received the Standard Award from ASCAP every year since 1987.
In addition to composing, Cox has an extensive background in choral and orchestral conducting.
He has been guest conductor for the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra and the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving.
He is currently the director of the Southwestern Seminary Men's Chorus.
